Frequently asked questions

Semi- Permanent Cosmetics also known as Semi-Permanent Makeup, is the revolutionary method of depositing hypoallergenic mineral pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. Microblading is one of the most natural looking, realistic hair strokes done with the use of Manual Micro-stroking, also known as Eyebrow Embroidery. This technique allows the artist to create crisp, fine hair strokes that fill in thin brows, brows with bald spots, total brow reconstruction and even alopecia.

Although microblading has the name of semi- permanent make up, it requires touch ups. Cosmetic tattooing is considered semi-permanent as it does not wash away, however pigments are designed to fade over time. Factors such as skin type, iron deficiency, pigment color (lighter colors fade faster) and sun exposure can affect the rate at which these pigments are broken down. For best results it is recommended that you follow our aftercare instructions and touch-up your tattoo every year or 2 years(or as needed). Touch-ups are normal and expected for cosmetic tattoo procedures.

*Please note that the final results CAN NOT be guaranteed due to the nature of skin as it heals, and follow-up appointment are recommended at 8-10 weeks where we can asses your pigment retention and make any necessary perfections which is included in the price.

For clients with autoimmune diseases, correction of work or sparse eyebrows, may require more than one follow-up appointment to reach their desired look at an additional cost.

The consultation is mandatory but it can be done in person or over the phone.

If you have an existing tattoo please email clear closeup pictures to be able to assess if microblading is a good choice for you.

On the day of the procedure:

You will need to fill out a consultation form and Laura C will discuss all the steps of the procedure

One of the main concerns of all clients is the shape of the eyebrow. This will the be most important and flattering for your face as well as the color which will harmonize with your natural hair colour and skin’s undertones.

Laura C is a Phibrows Master and extremely perfectionist so you will be in the safest hands.

She will show you some before and after photographs to give you an idea of how the procedure can transform and give youth to your facial features.

The “Pre Drawing “ shape of your eyebrows will be done using the Golden Ratio Divider.

This divider is actually the one determining your eyebrows shape according to your face proportions.

No-ones brows are the same because we are all unique by nature and we should stay that way.

All disposable tools are being used and the finest blades only from Phibrows .

The pigments are Vegan friendly and they are not tested on animals. Furthermore, our Phibrows pigments do not change colour overtime. The colour simply gets lighter with time and every line starts fading slowly.

I prefer that you leave us all the hair. We will take care of it.
Every client is different, some will feel slightly uncomfortable or a slightly more intense scratching, and some will feel almost like a threading sensation.
The strictest sanitation and safety standards are followed by using only single-use needles and parts. Also, hypo-allergenic pigments containing no fragrances or other irritants are used during the procedure. A patch-test prior to the procedure is recommended.
There is a right color for everyone and Master Laura C take into consideration your natural skin colour and the hair color from the eyebrows. The closest natural colour to your natural hair is always preferred.

Like wet clothing is darker before drying, pigments look brighter and darker immediately after they are implanted into the dermal layer of the skin.

Increased blood flow to the treatment area is one reason for the more intense colours.

It is important to avoid saunas, beauty treatments, steam baths, activities that will result in extreme sweating, tanning salons, sun ( hot holidays) and chlorinated or salt water pools for a minimum of two weeks after the procedure.
A contraindication is a condition or factor that either renders a medical treatment inadvisable under any circumstances or increases the risks involved in carrying out a medical procedure. Absolute Contraindication: hemophilia, blood thinners.
Little bleeding is normal. Excessive bleeding, caused by blood thinners or a health problem, pushes the pigment out as quickly as it is being implanted. We will ensure that a medical history form is completed in order to verify clients for contraindications. If an individual wants to have permanent makeup and is on blood thinners, then they should be discontinued for a week prior to and a few days after their appointment.
Make sure you take your anti-herpes medication like Valtrex or Zovirax to help prevent cold sores two days before your appointment.
The time can vary depending on the procedure. For the initial appointment we alocate approximately 2-3 hours.
Permanent cosmetics will fade gradually over time, so there will not be an obvious change in the brows, they simply just get lighter.
Absolutely, we will try and most of the natural hair while shaping the brows in a golden ratio way.
